Got A Doctor's Appointment?

Death of a Witch by MC Beaton
Grand Central Publishing
ISBN:13:978044619613-0

I always take a book with me when going to the Doctor or Dentist. I am not very patient when it comes to waiting, so a good book keeps me company and occupy my waiting time.

MC Beaton's Hamish Macbeth Mysteries fills the bill for me. A book that fits in my purse, a good story and interesting character. You don't have to start at the beginning, any book in the series is a stand a long. Reading older issues gives you insight into the lonely constable, Hamisch Macbeth. Death of a Witch is the latest, for the New York Times Bestselling Author.

Hamish returns to his beloved Scottish Village of Lochdubh, from a foreign holiday. Hamish gets word of magical powers, spell casting by a charming Catriona Beldame. He suspects she is dangersous to the small town, which the towns folk simply don't believe she is any type of threat. Eventhough, all the men are visiting her late at night.

A good book to read while we wait. I have been reading MC Beaton for many years and find her stories carefully thought out and creative. The pace of the book is part of the story line. It is a well crafted book.
